Is Tactical Relationship Training™ a religious program?

Tactical Relationship Training™ is the secular training framework developed by Bless The Badge Ministries, a Christian nonprofit. Our faith guides why we serve, but TRT is designed for people of all backgrounds and does not impose religious beliefs on participants.

What kind of experience is TRT?

TRT is an educational learning experience that combines practical teaching, real-life examples, demonstrations, guided couple conversations, and interactive learning.

Participants remain seated with their spouse throughout the event.

Many clinicians, chaplains, and wellness professionals value TRT as a complementary resource because it equips couples with practical relationship skills they can immediately begin applying.

Will participants have to share personal information?

No. Participants are never required to introduce themselves, share personal stories, or participate in group discussions.

Activities are completed privately with their spouse, and participation is always voluntary.

Why do you recommend round tables?

Whenever possible, we recommend seating couples at round tables rather than in traditional theater seating.

Round tables create a more comfortable learning environment, encourage fellowship during breaks and meals, and provide space for couples to complete activities together.

The experience still feels like a professional conference while creating opportunities for meaningful conversations throughout the day.

Do TRT instructors charge a speaker fee?

No. Our TRT Instructor Couples volunteer their time because we believe every law enforcement family should have access to these practical relationship tools.

Host organizations invest in the experience rather than paying speaker honorariums.

What does the planning investment cover?

The recommended half-day experience begins with a minimum planning investment of approximately $2,000 for one TRT Instructor Couple.

This covers airfare, hotel accommodations for up to two nights, ground transportation, meals, insurance, and instructor travel logistics.

What other costs should we expect?

Host organizations provide participant guides (approximately $25 per participant), venue, audio/visual support, local marketing and promotion, security (if required), and meals or refreshments (if provided).

Can TRT be customized for our organization?

Yes. While we recommend a half-day experience whenever possible, TRT can also be delivered as keynote presentations, breakout sessions, full-day conferences, retreats, academy family nights, leadership events, and customized programs while maintaining the integrity of the TRT methodology.

How much advance notice do you need?

Whenever possible, we recommend beginning the planning process three to six months before your desired event date.

Can foundations, churches, or community organizations host TRT?

Absolutely. Many TRT experiences are made possible through partnerships with organizations that want to invest in the health and well-being of local law enforcement families.

How many participants can attend?

TRT can be adapted for small agency events, regional conferences, or large multi-agency gatherings.

We'll recommend the appropriate number of TRT Instructor Couples based on your anticipated attendance and event format.

What happens after the event?

The experience doesn't end when the day is over.

Participants can continue learning through the Tactical Relationship Training™ Field Guide, future TRT experiences, the Bless The Badge Community, retreats, cruises, couples coaching, and instructor development.
